Ok ... so after a bit of reading this weekend ... I think I've cured the problems I had with the FujiFilm s1000fd.
The high res pictures in this set have MUCH lower noise levels compared to before from this same camera.
Here is the trick: - changed from standard color set to F-Chrome - ISO-64 (lowest noise level for this cam per FujiFilm) - Manual over ride of shutter and appature settings - f2.8 for appature setting - 8 sec delay for shutter speed - No flash
