So ... I have to admit, took some guess work and a hunch but I think I'm on the right track.
One advice ... When you have a point and shoot camera which due to form factor and cost factors will not be as good as a DSLR, here is a couple tricks to keep in mind:
- Most CCD processors introduce noise after ISO-100+ - Drop auto or scene recognition mode - Lock ISO in 64 or 100 (reduces noise and improves details) - Using Manual ISO-64/100 however, will not work for night shots - Leave White Balance on Auto to try first (adjust as needed) - Change color setting to the most vivid (my Fuji provides: B&W/Standard and Chroma) - When you have a point and shoot cam with a small lens opening, reducing the MPixel resolution helps also - While this cam is a 10MP, I run it exclusively in only 5 and 3MP.
This set was taken using Manual Mode with ISO-64, Auto White Balance, Chroma Color and set to 3MP resolution.
I'm still learning, I will share any trial and error, tips and tricks and pointers I find while researching photography.
